Why am I being charged a transaction fee?

Some purchases are subject to a transaction fee to cover the cost of payment processing and authenticating the gift card for sale.

What is Zeek?

We’re the gift card marketplace that allows users to buy their favourite gift vouchers at a discount and sell unwanted gift vouchers for cash.

Do I need to register to use Zeek?

Yes. You can easily sign-up using either your email, Facebook or Google accounts.

I never received my login email, what do I do?

Don’t worry, your email may have been redirected to your spam folder. If it is not there, please contact our support team.

I am already a Zeek user, can I use my login details to access the website?

Yes! Your account is valid for both the app and the website.

I'm having trouble verifying my phone number, what do I do?

  1. Re-enter your number without using the ‘0’ at the beginning of it.
  2. Please make sure you’ve deleted all previous SMS messages received from our system.
  3. Click ‘Send Again’ and you should receive it.
    If the second attempt fails get in touch with our support team.

How can I be sure using Zeek is safe?

All vouchers and gift cards for sale undergo several verification procedures before they’re sold. We ensure you are protected, and that all data is secure and confidential by using standard e-commerce protocols.

What if I want to delete my account?

To delete your account, simply send an email to our support team and we’ll delete it for you. It’s important to note that once your account is deleted, it cannot be restored.

What standard e-commerce protocols does Zeek use?

We use and follow strict SSL protocols to secure the transfer of data.

Does Zeek store my credit card details?

No. We use Braintree as our credit card processor. We do not store your full credit card number or CVC code after we submit it to Braintree. Braintree partially stores and protects this information. They are a major credit card processor who specializes in handling this information.

You stored my credit card information. How do I delete it?

We don’t actually store your full credit card details. We do store the last 4 digits of your credit card and some identifying information such as the expiration date. Braintree, our credit card processor, stores the necessary information to charge your card. When we let you make a new purchase without re-entering credit card info, we are submitting a charge request to Braintree. We don’t re-submit your credit card details.

If you would like us to remove a credit card as a payment method from your account, you can navigate to your account settings>Log into your account>Account info>Payment preferences. There you can find all of your saved payment methods and remove any if you would like to.

Will I be able to see my transactions history on both the app and the website?

Yes. Any purchase you make through the website will also appear in the app and vice versa.

I received a promo code, does it expire?

All credit expires within 14 days of its claim, unless otherwise stated within a specific promotion.

How do I claim my promo code credit?

Please apply your promo code during the checkout process. All you need to do is: click on the ‘got a promo code?’ link on the checkout page >  enter your promo code >click ‘apply’> click pay now to complete the order.  That’s it!

Where can I see my Zeek credit balance?

On our website you can see the credit underneath your name on the top right corner of your screen.
If you are using the app, you can see it after clicking More>Promo Codes.

Credit is automatically deducted from your purchases.

What is Zeek’s Share campaign?

Our share campaign enables you to earn a £5 credit reward for every new user who downloads our app and buys something using your unique share code. Each new user will receive £3 upon their first purchase at checkout on a minimum order of £23.  

How do I share Zeek with friends to earn credit?

To share our app, choose the ‘Invite Friends’ option through our app menu. A unique link will be generated for you which you can then copy and share with your friends. Once your friends click your link, they will have £3 waiting for them to use at the checkout. Please note, they will need to purchased a minimum of £23 in order to complete their order with the £3 credit. 

When will I receive my share credit?

After you share the app with a friend, and they have followed these steps:

  1. Registered to Zeek.
  2. Clicked the link you have provided them with 
  3. Made their first purchase over £23 using the promo code provided upon clicking the link.

What is a Zeek credit voucher?

You can now buy Zeek credit! Buying Zeek credit is a great way to save even more on your shopping. When you purchase a Zeek credit voucher, you will receive a redemption code. When you claim this code you will receive its full amount to your Zeek account.

Zeek credit vouchers are non-transferable and can only be claimed by their original buyer.

What can I buy with Zeek credit?

You can use Zeek credit to purchase any voucher on the market, apart from more Zeek credit. 

When do Zeek credit vouchers expire?

Zeek credit vouchers must be used within two years of purchase.

How do I buy a voucher or gift card?

  1. Log in via the app or site.
  2. Select the voucher type and brand you want to buy.
  3. Pay using your credit card, PayPal or Bitcoin.

What is Zeek Choice?

Zeek Choice is an e-gift card. It’s currently available on Quidco as a way to withdraw cashback earned. Zeek Choice is issued as a unique code which, when redeemed, loads your Zeek account with the specific value. It can then be used to purchase gift cards of your choice at Zeek.

  • Purchases made with cashback codes at Zeek do not earn you cashback.
  • Zeek codes must be redeemed within 6 months of balance withdrawal.
  • Once the amount has been loaded into your Zeek account, it must be spent within 12 months.

How do I redeem a Zeek Choice e-gift card code?

  • Create an account by clicking on ‘Sign in’.

  • Click the top right account menu and go to ‘Redeem credit code’

  • Enter the code shown above and click ‘Claim’

  • Your credit will be added to your Zeek account balance

  • Choose the discounted gift cards you want to buy!

Zeek Choice codes may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the value of the code on payment of the difference.

You can spend your Zeek Choice credit on one purchase, or across multiple transactions.

Why didn't I receive my voucher code?

Zeek has strict anti-fraud checks in place to ensure our marketplace is secure for both buyers and sellers. As part of this procedure our payment processing system may automatically block a transaction that it has cause to believe is potentially fraudulent. Occasionally our algorithm gets it wrong and locks orders until they are manually reviewed. So we can review and process your order, please email support@zeek.me.uk and we’ll unlock and process the order as quickly as possible.

If you do not contact our support team within 48 hours, the transaction will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

We appreciate checks of this nature can be very frustrating but hope you understand these measures are in place to keep all our customers safe.

When will I receive my voucher or gift card?

Physical vouchers should be received within 7 business days while electronic vouchers can be used immediately after purchase.

Can I return an item I have just purchased?

Zeek purchases are non-refundable unless covered under our 1 year money back guarantee. This policy in is place to protect all of our members. For security reasons, an eGift card with a valid balance cannot be refunded once the serial number is sent to your Zeek wallet.

What is the Zeek 1 year 100% money back guarantee?

Our marketplace is built upon the concept of trust. Whether you’re shopping or selling, we want to ensure you have the most positive experience on Zeek. With this in mind, every order is backed by the following guarantee. The guarantee covers:

  • Items not received within 30 days from the date of purchase.
  • Items delivered as a different brand than ordered.
  • Items with an inaccurate balance.
  • Inactive items.

The guarantee does NOT cover:

  • Buyer’s remorse/change of mind.
  • Requests received outside of one year.
  • Misinterpretation of delivery method/time.
  • Misinterpretation of redemption method or timing of delivery.
  • Items lost or misplaced by the buyer.
  • Failure to apply promo code before purchase.

Zeek isn’t available in my country yet, can I still buy a voucher or gift card?

Unfortunately our platform is not available outside the UK at this time but please keep following us on Facebook, Twitter and through our Blog to see which countries we’ll be launching in next!

My payments aren't going through, what can I do?

We’re sorry that you were unable to make a purchase, we know this must be very frustrating.
It is possible that your payments are being declined by your bank, but there may be several different reasons:
 
1. Incorrect credit card number or expiration date
2. Insufficient funds
3. Some banks will reject charges based on location
4. Some banks will reject charges based on their own fraud rules
 
We recommend making sure that your details are correct and that you have sufficient funds. If so, please contact your bank to confirm it is you making the purchase. In this case, they will be able to remove the block.
Should all of these suggestions fail – please contact our team for help.

Why do I have to pay £1 when I have enough credit to cover my purchase?

Even if you have enough credit to cover the cost of your voucher we must charge you £1 in order for your purchase to be processed.
For security reasons all purchases must go through the payment processor.

I want to sell a voucher, how does it work?

  1. Go to the ‘Sell’ tab.
  2. Select your desired brand from our list or create a new brand.
  3. Fill in the required details (uploading a photo is required when using our mobile app).
  4. Set your desired discount.
  5. Wait for your voucher to be approved!

I want to upload a voucher for sale, but I can't find the brand I need on the brand list, what do I do?

Not to worry, first make sure you’re spelling the brand name correctly. If you still cannot see your brand, you can simply write the full brand name without selecting it from the list and we’ll create a new brand for you.

What can I sell on Zeek?

You can sell any physical, printable eVouchers or eGift cards that meet our selling terms.

What are Zeek’s selling terms?

We don’t accept coupons or discount vouchers. Before uploading gift cards or vouchers, please make sure to check the following:

1. We’re able to verify the balance, either online or by phone.

2. The gift card or voucher brand you’re selling can be redeemed in an online store.

3. Your voucher is over £10 and under £500.

4. Your voucher has a validity of at least one month..

Does selling a voucher cost money?

Selling fees depend on which payout method you choose and whether you are selling a physical or digital voucher.

Digital vouchers:

For Paypal or Bank transfer, each sale will have a processing fee of 12% of the card’s asking price, with a minimum fee of £4.

For Zeek credit or Amazon gift card payout, each sale will have a processing fee of 3% of the card’s asking price, with minimum fee is £1.

Physical vouchers:

For Paypal or Bank transfer, each sale will have a processing fee of 15% of the card’s asking price, with a minimum fee of £5.

For Zeek credit or Amazon gift card payout, each sale will have a processing fee of 6% of the card’s asking price, with minimum fee is £5.

How much should I sell my gift vouchers for?

You can set your own selling price as long as it is at least 7% less than the face value of your digital voucher or 10% for your physical voucher.

I've changed my mind after uploading the voucher for sale, what do I do?

As long as your voucher hasn’t been sold, all you’ll need to do is remove it from the marketplace by going to ‘My listings’ and deleting it.

What do I do with the voucher that I’ve sold?

If you’ve sold a digital voucher, there’s no need to keep it. However, if you’ve sold a physical voucher, you’ll need to post it to our offices so that we can forward it to its new owner.

We recommend mailing your voucher using Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery (£1.74) and holding on to your tracking number until we’ve confirmed your voucher’s arrival.

My voucher has been sold! How will I receive my payment?

Congrats! Now simply go to your account settings>payments>seller payment options and fill in your preferred payment method. Payout options include  PayPal, bank transfer, Zeek credit and Amazon gift card!

I sold my voucher. When will I be paid?

If you sold a digital voucher you’ll be paid within 14 business days from date of sale.

If it’s a physical voucher, you’ll receive payment within 14 business days from the date the card reaches our offices after sale.

I sold my voucher and chose Amazon as my payout preference, how can I redeem my Amazon gift card?

If you chose Amazon as your payout method, your Amazon gift card will become available to you in your Zeek wallet within 14 days of your sale. You will be able to redeem your gift card at www.amazon.co.uk. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, redeemed for cash or applied to any other account. You can now choose Amazon gift cards as your payout method on Zeek!
Please note, once paid, you will not be able to change our payout method to cash or Zeek credit.

As long as your voucher has not yet been sold, you can edit your payout method by going to: ‘My listings’> desired voucher listing> ‘edit’ (at the top of the voucher)> and change your method to cash/Zeek credit.

Payout in Amazon gift cards gives you the benefit of reduced seller fees!

Why are payments not immediate?

The reason it takes up to 14 business days to receive your payment is purely for security reasons, giving us time to verify both the gift card and the buyer.

How do I become a bulk seller?

If you plan on selling more than 25 vouchers per month you are invited to join our bulk seller program! Just contact us at: partners@zeek.me

I sold my voucher. How can I get paid with Zeek credit?

In order to get paid with Zeek credit, please select the Zeek credit option from the payout options when listing your voucher for sale.

Zeek credit payment gives you the benefit of reduced seller fees!

Please note that your Zeek credit will expire 2 years after the payment date.
